Hallo to all ! After the pictures the stories .In Namibia we travel
from Swakopmund to walvis Bay .There we go via gravel road 600Km down
to the Soussousvlei Dunes and than to the Fish River Canyon .There are
heavy wind and very dry . I test to build the quad , was not possible.
So I build again my 4kW 20m endfed Vertical and use the groundscrews
to hold it in the earth . Very hard procedure , to bring in the screws
in the bottom . And the surprise were over 56 QSO´s to Indonesia
( mountain in this direction ) , US Westcoast and Italy ( also in Shadow )
/ EU . Christmas in the Namibia Desert Village Lodge was very fine all
around with meals , drinks and events…How,How , How !!! Next day we go
to Ai-Ais hot springs and 1 tyre have a probleme.So we travel to the
border to South Africa with stops on every filling station , to pump up
the tyre . Next day after 200 Km gravel we´re in Citrusdale . There we
change the car from air port Cape town , because we must drive there with
the reserve tyre , without any problems . Yesterday we arrived in
Cape Town , in Fish Hoek . In this time it´s not possible to install a
antenna ( How make this the local amateurs ? ) , because the wind is
so strong, you cant open the door of the car !!! All over the day .
If you open 2 doors in same time , all inside is outside !!!
Very funny to see it by other cars .
Tomorrow we go to Franschhoek to stay there in the New Year
and enjoy the wine from first class . If it´s possible and the wind is
not so strong, I will build again a antenna and make activity for 2 days
as ZS/DD0VR .Mossel Bay is the next station before we arrived in Lesotho
on the 5.1-8.1.2016 .
There I have many skeds to US and Canadian side and hope to work
many DXérs from EU also . I don´t know I have a net or not .
Pse lsn 7,100 , 14,200 on the 5.1. I start the activity .
